What's New In Vuforia Studio?
Here's a spotlight on what's new in the Studio 9.15.0 release:
New Feature: Visual Tracking Status
Helps Frontline Workers Maintain Stable Tracking
We have added a new feature to help frontline workers get the most out of AR experiences. It is a first step in helping users maintain stable tracking in certain environments.
To try it out, simply select "Show Tracking Status" from the menu when inside an experience. The on-screen prompts and statuses will guide workers to either reduce motion, improve lighting, or bring the object back into view when tracking is unstable.
JavaScript Information for Widget Properties
Do you consider yourself an advanced Vuforia Studio user? Are you interested in getting under the hood to create even more customized and dynamic experiences?
One of the big advantages of Vuforia Studio is that you have the choice to either use our simplified drag-and-drop user interface for quick and easy AR content creation or be as creative as you like by using the powerful JavaScript capabilities. To help our advanced JavaScript users, we have expanded our property, services, and events resource tables for all widgets. This should help you to stay as creative as you want to be when creating highly customized and dynamic experiences.
But that's not all!
With each release, we have a ton of new improvements. Here are just a few other highlights from the last releases:
- Model Target Acquisition - An issue was resolved where the acquisition effect was not working for Advanced Model Targets on iOS and Android devices.
- Wayfinder Performance - An issue was resolved where the performance of the 3D canvas slowed considerably as more and more Waypoints were added to an experience.
- Model Target Tracking - An issue was resolved where a reused Model Target was not tracking in Vuforia View when used in another project with the same Model Target configuration.
