Enhanced Tracking & Navigation in Vuforia Studio

This release brings important improvements to the way you track models and navigate experiences, helping you streamline workflows even more.

• On-Prem Advanced Model Targets – Now perform just like Advanced Model Targets, enabling detection and tracking from any angle of the matched object. Designed for developers who want the benefits of Advanced Model Targets without uploading 3D CAD data to the cloud, you can now generate these targets directly on your on-premises Experience Service—keeping data in your control.
• Zinc Widget Update – The Zinc widget now redirects to the Contacts Page, making it easier for users to quickly reach the right information without extra clicks.

These updates give you a more efficient and user-friendly development environment right inside Vuforia Studio.

Improved Security in Vuforia View

We’ve introduced a key security measure to ensure users only access trusted Experience Services.

• Trusted Experience Service Prompt – On both iOS and Android, Vuforia View now prompts users to confirm they trust an Experience Service the first time it’s accessed via a deep link or QR code. This safeguard helps prevent accidental access to untrusted or unknown services.

With this update, you can provide users with greater peace of mind when engaging with your AR content.

Expanded Flexibility in Experience Service

Managing and storing product data is now even more adaptable with new database support.

• SQLite DB Support for Product API – The Product API now supports SQLite databases, offering a lightweight, local storage option that simplifies data management and deployment.

This improvement gives developers more options for handling data in a way that best suits their project needs.
